Haiti
Wow it has been so long since I have blogged. Oh well, here goes:
Tonight at our basketball game, I sat next to girl from Haiti. She’s my age and her parents were missionaries there. As I began to observe her later in the night, when she became a little secluded, she was alone for a minute (she’s already very accepted and loved by our student body) and there I felt a little of what she did I believe. I could see in her eyes the pain. Maybe not pain. But maybe suffering. Or not suffering, but strife if nothing else. A broken country you were forced to evacuate. A new school. New school work. New people. DIFFERENT people. DIFFERENT lifestyles. What do they call it? Culture shock or something? Well I can only imagine what is all going on. I believe that it’s all beginning to rain down on her. But, with a little help from her friends (Beatles allusion) I believe she can make it. I believe that in her eyes was simply sorrow. I can’t dig deeper than that but I know it wasn’t just merely jetlag as she said it was. Please pray for her. And I will join you.
Everythings ridin on hope now…
God bless
